1. What is your check-in and check-out time? 

Check-In: 03:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Early check-in may be available in low season, however, in summber season it is normally not available. Late check-in until 10:00 PM normally is available upon request by phone or email. Since we have to get up early and prepare the breakfast next day, check-in after 10:00 PM is realy hard for us. 

Please feel free to contact us if you have to check-in beyon normal hours. 

Check-Out: 11:00 AM. Late check-out will be result in more cost, and please confirm with us in advance. 

2. What is your breakfast?

A free hot home made breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. It is always balanced for your needs of protein and carbs, as well as fruit, yogurt, vege and varieties of beverages. It starts with "help you self" pastry, cereal, beverages, fruit salad, bread, etc, followed by a hot just cooked breakfast such as "waffle and bacon", "eggs Benedict", “French toast sandwich", etc. 

For guests with special diet, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, etc., please notify us in advance so that we can prepare for you. Please also let us know if you are allergic. 

3. What if we have to leave earlier?

If guests have to leave earlier than 8:00 AM, for example to take the morning ferry to Nova Scotia, we have a brown bag (with chocolate bar, juice box, egg and yogurt, etc) as well as coffee or tea for you to take along. Please let us know when check-in. 

4. When do I pay?

When you book rooms with us directly or through on-line agents, we ask for credit card information. But we will not charge until your arrival. Please pay us when check-in. 

5. Why I have to pay for late cancellation?

We have a very liberal policy with respect to cancellations and only require a three day notice (noon local time three days before expected arrival*). However, if something happen and we get a late cancellation (arrival time is within three days), we will try to re-book the room. If we are unable to re-book the room then 100% of the room rate will be charged to the credit card used to secure the reservation. If we can re-book your room(s), a partial refund will be made, up to 15% of fees may applied. 

Hotel room is kind of merchandise guests consume it 3 days before arrival. 

6. Can I choose room? 

When make reservation directly with us, either through phone or email or on our web-site, guests can choose individual room they like.

However, for reservations come through on-line travel agents like Booking.com or Expedia or Tripadvisor, the system will assign the rooms automatically. In this case, guests can not choose room. 

7. Can I see the room before check-in? 

All the rooms are made ready for guests to check-in. We recommend guests to view the pictures on-line before they make reservation. Every guest can be 100% sure, the room is completely clean and never touched by other guests. 

8. Is it convenient to take the ferry to Nova Scotia?

It is only 6 mins drive from Homeport to the ferry terminal, yes it is very convenient to take the ferry! Also, we have brown bags for the morning ferry as guests are requested to be there by 7:00 AM. 

9. Where is the best place to see the "tide"?

Bay of Fundy is famous for the highest tide in the world. It is about 800 km to drive all around the bay. So there are many places to see the tide. The Reversing Falls might be the most convenient place when you stay in Homeport, it is about 15 mins walk.  

Other polular places are: 

Hopewell rocks, Fundy Trail Parkway in St. Martins, Fundy National Park, Ministers Island in St. Andrews. 

10. Where to park my car?

There are plent of parking for every guest in our back yard. Please drive into our property and park in either of the parking spot. The number painted in each spot does not mater.
